In my paintings, fragments of landscape and abstracted architecture stand in for everything I have lived through in those places. My art depicts multiple locations simultaneously to convey the impact and accumulation of identity-shaping experiences.   Sometimes my paintings include both interior and exterior views of architecture, but this painting definitely leans toward the exterior views.  As suggested in the title, the building forms are depicted from a distance, "Out There".  I think this implies some time has elapsed since the experiences within those spaces and they can be viewed/understood more objectively than before.
