• Endangered Species

  This series is based on the idea of transforming household objects that I seldom use anymore into fossil-like images. Each painting is mixed media on panel and was completed in 2003-2004.  

• First Painting of 2012

  I’ve spent the first part of 2012 recovering from “the great computer crash of 2011″ AND creating this painting.  It’s mixed media on a 24″ x 39″ panel.  I’m excited about some of the larger collage elements in it. Also, for artistic goals of all kinds, I’m loving this article about creativity.

• Landmarks

  In this series, drawings of natural objects overlay man-made ones.  Through the process of layering these images with each other, each becomes more fragmented and obscured as together they take on a new abstract identity. All are mixed media on panel and were completed in 2005-2007.

• Nine Muses

  This project was  a poetry and art collaboration completed in 2008.  Nine poets wrote nine poems, inspired by each one of  the nine Greek muses.  Nine artists, myself included, received these poems and created nine artworks in response to them. All are mixed media on 18″ x 18″ panel.
